Let’s pay tribute to the legend with the longest television career for a male entertainer with these Bruce Forsyth quotes.
Real name Sir Bruce Joseph Forsyth-Johnson, Forsyth’s career as an English presenter for TV is 75 years long. It’s hard not to know him with such classics as The Price is Right, Strictly Come Dancing, and Play Your Cards Right. Until now, he is remembered for his catchprases such as “Oh, wasn’t that a shame!” (Price is Right) and “We asked a hundred people” (Play Your Cards Right). His catchphrase “Nice to see you, to see you, nice” was voted the most popular UK catchphrase.
Apart from a long and distinguished career, Forsyth is also a lover of his wife, Winella Merced, the 1975 Miss World from Puerto Rico, and golf. His primary residence is just next to the Wentworth Golf Course.
Born February 22 1928, he is still going strong. Let’s hear what Forsyth has to say about life, work, and love.
